The quest to answer the yearning to honor Swami’s teachings of love and selfless service led Group 4 SSE students (ages 15 and older) from SSSIO-USA North-Central Region to the Sai 100 Blessed Blankets Project, which is an offering of 100 cozy blankets for children in pediatric hospitals and shelters. With support from every Sai Center in the region, fleece fabric was lovingly transformed by many hands into soft, warm blankets—layered, cut, and tied together. Sessions echoed with bhajans, laughter, and shared purpose, as Sai devotees of all ages—from the youngest pre-SSE child to the eldest members—tied not just knots, but bonds of love and compassion. The students quickly exceeded their goal of 100 blankets, delivering comfort to even more children, including those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital, where the staff received them with tearful gratitude.
