At the end of June 2025, members from four centers of the SSSIO, Zone 8, took part in the Active Summer project with a service trip to the Equestrian Club in the Leningrad region. The club is home to horses, goats, dogs, and cats, and volunteers regularly help to care for the animals and maintain the grounds.
Despite heavy rain, the volunteers brought packaged food as well as fresh carrots and apples for the animals. They helped with mowing grass, feeding goats, walking and grooming horses, and cleaning the club’s premises. The men focused on repairing doors in the horse pens. The club owners presented blooming peonies from the garden to the volunteers to show their appreciation.
The volunteers also joined a Zoom meeting with SSSIO members to share stories and updates about their services across Russia and neighboring countries. The trip concluded with a shared tea and snacks outdoors. The participants expressed deep gratitude to Swami for the opportunity to serve with love and devotion.
