The XXII Regional Conference of the SSSIO Southern Region of Russia was a spiritually enriching event to promote unity, joy, and selfless service. Held both in-person and online, the conference was attended by 74 participants from 14 cities across Russia. It provided a platform for members to reflect on their spiritual journeys over the past year and inspired them to continue their service activities with devotion.
The theme of the conference focused on essential qualities for Self-realization, such as forbearance, humility, and determination, with the motto: “Forbearance and hard work lead to enlightenment.” These qualities were explored in depth during discussions, focusing on forbearance as emphasized by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Notable guests included Mr. Valery Voshchinin, the Chairman of SSSIO, Zone 8, and two former coordinators of the Southern Region. Their talks gave invaluable insights from decades of experience and reinforced the importance of following Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings and spiritual discipline.
The conference featured various spiritual activities, including chanting, meditation, and bhajans. Participants also shared inspiring stories of selfless service and community projects from the past year, including environmental cleanups, helping war-torn individuals, assisting the elderly, and organizing educational programs for children.
One of the highlights was a creative concert that showcased the talents of the participants, including songs, skits, and performances by children. This joyful event created a strong connection and community spirit among those present. In his closing address, Mr. Valery Voshchinin spoke about the transformative power of Bhagawan’s teachings and the importance of unity within the SSSIO.
