In the wake of devastating floods that struck Taree and surrounding regions in New South Wales, Australia, the SSSIO of Australia & PNG responded with compassion and purposeful service. Homes, farms, and livelihoods were lost—but in the midst of this hardship, the light of selfless love shone brightly. Working hand-in-hand with partners and the local community, the volunteers distributed 830 blankets. More than 100 pillows were cleaned, folded, and packed by over 30 volunteers. They also delivered non-perishable food, essential household items, and cleaning supplies. The volunteers further distributed 45 bales of hay and 60 bags of animal feed to struggling farmers. From the collection rooms to the relief centers, the spirit of unity and compassion echoed in every action.

Gratitude poured in from the community, such as, “Your group has left a wonderful impression of human kindness and compassion… Truly an honor to meet so many dedicated people.”
