Every August, Moscow holds the famous ‘Days of India’ Festival. For two years now, the SSSIO volunteers of Zone 8 have set up tents dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This year, approximately 40 members of the Organization volunteered for the festival, and two tents were set up to pass on the teachings of Baba to those who were interested. In the first tent, visitors were able to engage in discussions about Sri Sathya Sai Baba, His teachings, and His work. Bhajans were sung, and the Vedas were chanted in the tent three times a day, and music and dance programs were organized. Volunteers also talked with the visitors, answered questions, offered literature on Baba, and distributed Swami’s quotes. The second tent was dedicated to Sathya Sai Education (SSE) for children.

Throughout the four days of the festival, teachers hosted workshops where they narrated Indian epics and heroic tales, played spiritual board games, engaged in coloring, crafts, and rangoli, and conducted yoga-inspired warm-ups. During the workshops, volunteers also conversed with parents about the importance of the five human values and the role they play in developing good character in the children. Over the four days of the festival, approximately 2,000 people, including more than 170 children, visited the tents dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba. For many, this was the first step on the path of inner awakening.
