On April 13, 2025, the Young Adults (YAs) of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Central San Jose lovingly hosted their annual Seniors and Grandparents Day, a heartfelt celebration honoring the wisdom, devotion, and guidance of the elders. The day began with uplifting bhajans, followed by joyful games where seniors and the YAs played together and shared cherished memories.
In small groups, the elders shared their spiritual journeys with Swami, offering pearls of wisdom and inspiring stories that deeply touched the younger devotees. One moving exchange highlighted the importance of nurturing devotion in children through selfless service and living the values taught by Swami. The YAs served a thoughtfully prepared lunch that accommodated every dietary need, reflecting Swami’s teaching of love in action. A video booth captured the elders’ beautiful memories, and each senior received a refrigerator magnet with Swami’s image and a heartfelt message of gratitude.
The event radiated unity, love, and intergenerational connection, leaving every heart full of gratitude. As one YA shared, “It was truly heartwarming to hear the stories and experiences of the elders. I feel blessed to have been part of something so special.”
