In May 2024, the National Ladies Program of the SSSIO, Australia, introduced an 18-week sadhana to celebrate Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 99th Birthday in November 2024. The focus was reading the Sri Sathya Sai Satcharitra, particularly the Tapovanam book, which consists of 18 chapters. The goal was to unite Sai sisters across Australia in a collective spiritual practice inspired by a similar initiative of the ladies of the SSSIO, USA.
Each participant was assigned one chapter per week, with progress shared through group chats. The project began on July 18, 2024, and the completion date aligned with Ladies’ Day on November 20, 2024. A total of 90 women registered, forming five groups of 18. Weekly reminders were sent to ensure everyone stayed on track. Some even organized mini-satsangs to discuss their readings and share personal experiences.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing how the sadhana deepened their connection to Bhagawan and His teachings. Many shared that the experience brought them closer to Him, filled them with peace, and strengthened their faith.
After the conclusion of the 18-week sadhana, all chapters were offered at Bhagawan’s feet. An online wrap-up session was held on December 7, and participants will share their experiences during the Spiritual Retreat scheduled in April 2025.
