Various nature outings were organized in the Southern Region of Russia in July 2024. They drew 78 participants from 12 cities, including 47 SSSIO members and 23 children. Three adults and four children from Sathya Sai Spiritual Education classes (SSSE) went hiking in the Arkhyz mountains, where the serenity and stunning purity of the natural scenery evoked deep sentiments of connection with the creator.
Participants from another center visited the Feodosia Art Gallery of Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky, the renowned marine artist, where they marveled at the stunning beauty of the paintings of seascapes. A group of Sai volunteers walked around their town, diligently clearing the streets of litter while sanctifying their actions by chanting mantras. They also visited an Equestrian School, where they cared for and fed the horses. On Cleanliness Day, participants cleaned their homes, beautified their yards, and watered plants early in the morning so they did not wilt in the heat. The service concluded with devotional sessions and delightful treats. Another group conducted a human values lesson on kindness in which the children learned about the generosity of the earth and the kindness of nature. Finally, the volunteers joined a Zonal online broadcast to express their gratitude to nature.
