Held during Orthodox Easter from April 27 to May 6, 2024, the 9th European Sai Yoga Retreat welcomed 32 participants from diverse countries. Daily yoga sessions enriched the experience, with mornings dedicated to Omkar, meditation, Veda chanting, and bhajans, while evenings focused on balancing chakras through specific asanas (yoga poses).

Through a session on the spiritual significance of Orthodox Easter, the participants had a deeper understanding of church ceremonies during their visits to the Basilica of Markopoulo and a nearby monastery. Indeed, it allowed them to participate enthusiastically and with intense reverence.

Participants also enjoyed leisurely walks by the sea and swimming. A highlight was the communal celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection at the Basilica of Markopoulo, with the traditional lighting of candles and fireworks. It was a unique way to experience the universal message of Eternal Life and Divine Bliss, also a cornerstone of Sathya Sai’s teachings.
