Reyes Magos (The Three Wise Men) Day traditionally commemorates the adoration of the Child Jesus and the end of the Christmas season when children receive gifts from the “three wise men.” On January 21, 2023, twenty SSSIO volunteers from the Iztapalapa Community Center in Mexico City celebrated the day by presenting toys, sweatshirts, and sweets to 130 children in need. The children also had fun breaking three piñatas full of fruit and candies. The volunteers were wise, for they realized that service to man is service to God and that a smile on a child’s face is a smile on the Lord’s face.
