Twenty-nine SSSIO members observed Maha Shivaratri in Almaty and Astana in February 2023 with uplifting devotional programs. They listened to a talk about the significance of Shivaratri, chanted Gayatri and 108 names of Lord Shiva, and sang bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva. Twenty-four SSSIO members also commemorated the occasion with loving service.
In Astana, volunteers delivered 15 food packages with essential groceries to needy families living in the barracks. They also provided financial assistance to a single mother to help her heat her house.
Volunteers in Shchuchinsk distributed hot buckwheat porridge and bread to ten needy people near a church.
In Rudny, volunteers prepared and served 50 portions of hot buckwheat porridge, bread, buns, cucumbers, and tea to disadvantaged people.
