As part of the Guru Poornima celebrations, on July 24, 2021, the SSSIO of Ghana organized a training session in making soap, for the needy. Thirteen people were selected to participate, on the basis of need. They travelled more than 270 km to Tema Chief’s Palace to learn how to prepare solid and liquid soap, and detergents. These products could be used in their own households or sold commercially, in response to the global pandemic. In addition, the attendees received necessary materials to start their own business in making soap.
