On June 25, 2020, more than 30 SSIO volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Mississauga organized two food-drives to serve the needy during the Covid-19 pandemic. The volunteers collected and delivered non-perishable food items to various local food banks. In addition, they participated in a virtual Walk-For-Values program in which 430 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected. As a result, 3,487 pounds of food was distributed. The Center has dedicated these projects as an expression of gratitude to Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
