For the past five years, a group calling themselves “Love All, Serve All” has formed a strong bond with local people by working together to encourage the practice of human values. Comprised of 37 people, group members are residents of El Recuerdo, one of Bogotá’s poorest neighbourhoods. In late 2015, Sathya Sai Youth of Bogotá began supporting this group by arranging workshops for children and parents. On 24th April 2016, nine young volunteers organised a beautiful programme for 30 children and 20 adults. The programme began with silent sitting by the children, followed by a skit on the value of gratitude and a session on crafting bracelets, and concluding with a nutritious lunch. Food and cleaning products were distributed to the families in attendance. On the same day, SSIO members and guests also gathered at the Sathya Sai Centre in Santa Helena, Bogotá, in grateful observance of the fifth anniversary of Swami’s Mahasamadhi.
