The Sathya Sai School of Ribeirão Preto hosted its annual Harvest Festival on 13th June 2015, uniting the diverse school community of 240 students, their families, staff, and teachers. The festival celebrates the arrival of winter through sharing of seasonal foods such as corn and churros, along with music and games for children and adults. The entire school was decorated with flags and lights, and the festivities were greatly enjoyed by more than 600 visitors, setting a new record. Besides the festival itself, a long-awaited sports court was inaugurated, for enhancing and supporting students’ physical activities. The sports court had been constructed in fewer than 60 days, in time for the Harvest Festival. To the delight of the audience, students from every class performed a typical Brazilian dance on the court. The event was a grand success and demonstrated love and unity among the Sathya Sai School community.
