SSSIO volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Natal in northeastern Brazil distributed 360 seedlings of various fruit trees to 90 families in the rural village of Queimadas on March 26, 2023. The trees, which will provide sweet-tasting and nutritious food for the community, include avocado, acerola, cashew trees, coconut, soursop, wild olive, pitanga, mango, sapodilla, sweetsop, pitaya, tamarind, pomegranate, and araçá. Once grown, the fruit-bearing trees will contribute to food security, nutritional sustenance, and economic self-reliance of the villagers.
