A family of four Sai devotees new to Ireland took part in a cleanup project in Dublin. Working with a group of 18 volunteers, they picked up trash from the banks of the Royal Canal. This service is organized by a local organization called Clean Coasts on the first Saturday of the month. Clean Coasts works with communities to protect Ireland’s waterways, coastlines, seas, ocean, and marine life.

On April 24, 2022, 20 volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Dublin participated in a community cleanup project in the beautiful Booterstown Nature Reserve on the South Dublin coastline. The cleanup project was chosen to commemorate Earth Day on April 22 and Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Aradhana Mahotsavam on April 24. Some volunteers cleaned the strand of washed-up debris, while others cleaned the saltmarsh area, an important feeding and resting point for migrating birds.
