On May 17, 2026, 20 members of the SSSIO of Chile visited Casa Hogar “El Buen Pastor,” a residential care home in the commune of Quinta Normal, to bring food, companionship, and fellowship to its residents.
Volunteers prepared and distributed sandwiches, yogurt, cake, and fresh fruit to 25 residents, a mixed community of the young and the old, facing challenges with health, mobility, nutrition, and emotional well-being. Beyond the meal, volunteers spent time in conversation and sang bhajans, creating an atmosphere of warmth and friendship. The visit offered attentive listening and companionship along with material support, strengthening bonds between the volunteers and the residents.
