‘Ladies Day’ which is celebrated on the 19th of every month in accordance with Swami’s directive, transformed into ‘Nutritious Feast Day’ for hundreds of needy and impoverished women across Malaysia. In the Sai Annapoorani Mission 2022, more than 30 women volunteers across WP Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Pahang, Perak, Kedah, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka join hands and hearts to serve fresh food to the homeless, seniors living in institutions, orphans, disadvantaged communities and municipal waste collectors on a monthly basis.
Implemented in coordination with the National Ladies Wing of the SSSIO Malaysia, the program aims to positively impact 2,000 lives by the 97th Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The total by August 2022 stands at 1,400. The volunteers too are positively impacted as the joy of service is addictive and grows on them. Besides that, the ladies supplied food, dry provisions, and hygiene items to flood victims on January 19 and organized a medical/cancer-screening camp on March 19, 2022 – both in Selangor.
