In June 2020, SSIO of South Africa assisted families that are severely impacted by the pandemic and national lockdown in the Johannesburg region.  In a span of 10 days, the volunteers including 35 young adults distributed 200 hampers with grocery and hygiene products along with blankets to families in need. Through this service activity, the young adult volunteers understood the value of individual heart-to-heart communication and their own personal transformation with an added feeling of trust and empowerment. By being involved in the planning of hamper allocations to different Sathya Sai Centers and implementing a daily distribution plan, the volunteers sustained positive energy levels throughout the activity. Ultimately, this service activity also reaffirmed Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s assurance that if the intention of an activity is pure and filled with love, divine support will manifest to take care of the rest.
