On July 2, 2023, volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Sai Ananda and Sicklewood commemorated Guru Poornima by lovingly serving a delicious lunch of vegetable biryani, lentils, and salad to nearly 300 needy people at the Denis Hurley Center. The center provides various services to some of the poorest people in Durban. The volunteers also distributed sanitary pads to over 100 women at the center.
Volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Silverglen cooked and served a delicious meal to over 150 community members. They also distributed 60 hygiene bags and sanitary pads.
