Every Wednesday, Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) volunteers at the Sathya Sai Centre of Winnipeg, receive a truck-load of essential items such as milk, baby food, hygiene items, canned food, biscuits, fruits, vegetables, and bread. The items are packed and distributed to more than 60 needy local people at the Sathya Sai Centre. On one Saturday each month, volunteers cook and serve a warm meal at the Siloam Mission to around 400 underprivileged people. The menu typically includes freshly prepared macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, and beans. This programme was initiated by two Sathya Sai volunteers several years ago.
