The city of Faenza, located approximately 50 km (31 miles) southeast of Bologna, is part of the Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Toscana Regions. Members of the Sathya Sai Centre of Faenza practised love in action through a selfless service initiative on 24th April 2019, when more than 20 volunteers prepared 150 gift packages containing olive oil, tomato pulp, milk, pasta, sugar, various pulses, jam, toast, biscuit, soap, shower gel, and shampoo. These packages were distributed to 80 extremely needy families identified by the Municipality of Faenza and 60 others who regularly receive meals at the local Sai Soup Kitchen. In addition, SSIO volunteers served hot lunch to 52 guests and dinner to 30 guests.
