In St. Petersburg, Russia, members of an SSSIO center, together with their friends and acquaintances, consistently prepare and serve meals to the impoverished. In late December, they provided over 30 people with Druzhba porridge, sweets, tangerines, and vitamin tea, with many receiving a second serving. They also distributed 33 packets of medicines and vitamins, some intended explicitly for individuals struggling with alcohol dependence, and 24 pairs of socks, nine pairs of gloves, and shoes. To reduce plastic waste, they conducted an experiment that led to a 60-70% reduction in using plastic spoons over six months. The volunteers have served the community once or twice monthly for many years, working alongside other groups in St. Petersburg. The recipients recognize and sincerely thank the volunteers for their continued loving support.
