Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Birthday was celebrated at Mt. Eden War Memorial Hall in Auckland by Sai Centers from Auckland, Hamilton, and Rotorua on November 23, 2023. The evening commenced with Veda chanting and the symbolic lighting of the lamp. SSE children took the spotlight with a play that conveyed a profound message – the spirit transcends specific elements and can be felt in Nature, animals, and, most importantly, within us.

The Young Adults presented a two-part drama that explored the challenges faced by parents and young adults, which can be resolved with Sai’s guidance. It deepened the young adult’s understanding of parental perspectives and provided them with a reflective and positive growth experience.

The guest speaker, Mr. Mark Connell, the Deputy National President of the SIO New Zealand, addressed the audience, providing many beautiful insights. Representatives from community organizations were warmly welcomed; their presence fostered a sense of community, unity, and inclusiveness.

The evening concluded with devotional singing, lifting everyone’s spirit and leaving their hearts filled with love and gratitude. All in all, the event was a success, with about 400 people in attendance, a significant increase from previous years.
