On 1st April 2018, 16 SSIO volunteers from the towns of Mestre, Udine, Verona and Bolzano, along with volunteers from the Amici di (Friends of) Paolo Favale Association, worked tirelessly to cook and serve a traditional Easter lunch to more than 50 needy people in Verona.
They served pizzas, canapés, lasagne, spaghetti, a dish with sauce, cooked vegetables, salad, ice cream with fruit salad and cream, and Easter cake, Colomba di Pasqua, with chocolate Easter eggs. Each child was amazed to receive a big Easter egg with a surprise gift inside. The harmony and love between the volunteers and the guests made the day unforgettable, full of joy and peace. Mr Paolo Favale and volunteers from the Sathya Sai Centre in Verona founded the Amici di Paolo Favale (Friends of Paolo Favale) Association 24 years ago to serve breakfast to the needy every day, among other services.
