On 22nd July 2017, SSIO volunteers received a call for help from a refugee family. A 14-year-old child had been hospitalised for a few days, and the family was unable to pay the hospital bill. The next day, SSIO volunteers cheerfully helped pay the bill, so that the child could be reunited with the family in joy and relief.
SSIO volunteers also provided loving services at the Pakkret Babies Home on 23rd July 2017. Ten volunteers, including three SSE students, kindly delivered baby food, milk, and diapers to the home, which provides care to about 100 infants.
