The Sai Young Adults (YA) New Year’s Retreat was held from December 30, 2025, to January 3, 2026, in Langenfeld, Germany, on the theme Shape Your Destiny – Circle of Life. A total of 18 Young Adults and 2 children participated from Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands in Zones 6 and 7. The program included workshops on career, relationships, and spiritual growth, along with bhajan singing, Sai-inspired games, nature walks, and guest talks. Each day followed a structured routine beginning with morning prayers and bhajans, followed by workshops, group activities, and evening bhajans.
The retreat commenced with dinner, a Bingo session, and bhajans. Workshops over the following days focused on reflection on the past year, spiritual practices, relationships, self-visioning, and setting professional goals. The New Year was welcomed with extended bhajans, Gayatri Mantra chanting, and a symbolic ‘letting-go’ activity with sparklers. During this session, participants burned pieces of paper on which they had written things they wished to leave behind from the past year. A workshop on relationships emphasized that our relationship with others begins with our relationship with ourselves. In a visioning workshop, participants wrote letters to themselves to be sent at the end of 2026.
Guest speakers included Mr. Thomas Rohland, National Council President of SSSIO Germany, and Mr. Pavel Marčík and Ms. Mariel Beltrán Gutiérrez, the Zone 7 YA Coordinator and Deputy YA Coordinator, respectively. The retreat concluded with Veda chanting, bhajans, and a feedback session, leaving participants inspired and strengthened in fellowship.
