On May 30, 2026, members of the SSSIO of Australia and PNG’s Victoria Region held another blood donation drive, building on momentum from earlier drives. The project was in response to a critical shortage reported by Lifeblood, Australia’s blood donation service, across the state. Half of the attendees were first-time donors, many surprised at how quick and painless giving blood was. Several members who were unable to donate on the day returned afterward to complete their donations. The SSSIO of Victoria Region continues to encourage members who missed this drive to visit a local Lifeblood center to join the effort.
