On January 25, 2026, SSSIO volunteers from the ladies’ wing in New South Wales, Australia, along with men and enthusiastic Young Adults, came together in a beautiful expression of unity and compassion to serve the community. In partnership with the Zonta Club, they lovingly created 140 cushions for cancer patients at the Westmead Hospital, offering comfort and practical support to those undergoing treatment. The project unfolded in thoughtful stages.
The Ladies Program began by carefully sewing cushion covers, attaching tags, and adding ribbons with meticulous care. On the day of service, the wider team joined hands to fill each cushion, weigh them for consistency, and hand-stitch the openings—ensuring every piece was finished with quality and love. The successful completion of 140 cushions stands as a testament to teamwork, dedication, and selfless service. These cushions will bring physical ease and emotional reassurance to breast cancer patients during their recovery journey. Through this heartfelt collaboration with Zonta International, the initiative made a tangible difference in the lives of women in need.
