Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) students from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Central San Jose, California, made beautiful holiday cards in braille for the visually impaired. The Vista Center in Palo Alto, California, serves the visually impaired. They loaned their braille typewriters so that the SSE children could learn how to use a typewriter with only six keys and various combinations of the keys to form letters.

Within a few weeks, the volunteers were able to make 110 beautiful cards. They also added some other goodies – a box of chocolates, a bag of chips, and chewy bars. The whole ensemble was delivered to the Vista Center for distribution. One of the SSE student volunteers reflected, “It was a very fun project. I enjoyed thinking up different inspiring messages and felt immensely satisfied that I had learned a new skill. “
