In commemoration of Sathya Sai Baba’s 94th Birthday, SSIO volunteers from the Sathya Sai Center Bhavan travelled to a remote village in Suriname at Coppenamepunt in the Saramacca district. This remote fishing village is home to 20 families, where the men often stay at sea for several days at a time. SSIO volunteers distributed food hampers to the mothers and took care of the children for the day, as the fathers were out fishing. Both the villagers and the volunteers were extremely happy and thankful for this service opportunity.
