On 16 February 2020, 20 SSIO volunteers visited with 25 children at the Zout Der Aarde Children’s Home in the district of Saramacca, where they sang, shared stories and served snacks. Then they headed to the Maho Children’s Home in the capital city of Paramaribo, where the Sai volunteers spent a wonderful time engaging the 13 children at the home with songs and stories. At both orphanages, the volunteers distributed hampers containing rice, beans, sugar and potatoes. The children enjoyed their company, and the SSIO volunteers felt blessed for the opportunity to make the children happy.
