The Lasova Restaurant, a refined concept of a soup kitchen near the Central Bus Depot of Tel Aviv, serves nearly 300 underprivileged people every day, including refugees, the homeless and the elderly. Established by the Lasova Organisation in 1990, the restaurant is fully dependent on the goodwill of kind-hearted volunteers. On 1st February 2019, volunteers from the SSIO of Israel, including young adults, had an opportunity to serve at the restaurant. They tidied up the restaurant, prepared and served the food, and washed the utensils afterwards. During the service, the volunteers felt happy, recollecting the beautiful teaching of Sathya Sai Baba that Service to Man is Service to God. The Lasova Organisation thanked the SSIO volunteers for their commitment, cooperation, joyful attitude and positive energy. The uplifting experience inspired the volunteers to resolve to do more for the underprivileged in Tel Aviv.
