During April 2017, more than 300 people attended a series of public meetings organised by 130 SSIO members from 41 cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. The meetings addressed a broad range of spiritual and practical topics, including teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, activities of the SSIO, and caring for Mother Earth and the environment. Many of the speakers shared photographs and videos to drive home their message. In Kazakhstan, a meeting was held on human values to help seven young mothers, while another meeting focused on raising children in view of the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba. In Azerbaijan, 38 students and three teachers participated in a meeting discussing the spoken word and its impact on a person and the environment, in the light of the teachings of major religions and Sai Baba. SSIO members held spiritual discussions with guests at many of these meetings, sharing Baba’s universal messages toward peace and happiness.
