Deep in central South Africa, nestled amongst the mountains, far from busy metropolitan areas, is the town of Phuthaditjhaba, home of the Qwa Qwa Sathya Sai Centre. On 7th May 2016, the Ladies Wing of the SSIO organised a remarkable service project to help needy residents of this area. Early in the morning, five buses along with several cars and trucks laden with food hampers, clothing, and water, converged on this little town. SSIO volunteers, working in unison, unloaded the truck; packed the clothes, food hampers, and water; and distributed these items to the villagers. In the early morning chill, Sai Centre members, led by SSIO officers, started preparing hot meals, to be served later to the villagers. The youth of the village presented a traditional Africa cultural programme as a token of appreciation.
