In Colombia, the government has granted a licence for elementary education to the Sathya Sai School of Funza, Colombia. A ceremony was held on 26th April 2015 to commemorate this achievement and the foundation stone was laid for the new headquarters of the Sathya Sai School. The new school building, 1,600 square metres in area, will accommodate 200 students starting in early 2016. Students, parents, teachers, and school staff gathered with Sathya Sai organisation members to share their gratitude and exchange ideas. The foundation stone contained a few pieces of consecrated material from Sai Kulwant Hall in Prasanthi Nilayam, and Sathya Sai volunteers simultaneously buried a box containing jewels and other offerings, along with the foundation stone, as a symbolic offering. The programme concluded with the singing of the school anthem, written a few years ago by a Sathya Sai devotee.
