A first Sathya Sai health camp in New York City was organised at East Elmhurst in Queens, New York, on 19th April 2014. Over 65 medical and non-medical volunteers, including internists, specialists, nurses and medical assistants, provided health care services. As divinely ordained, exactly 108 participants – mostly needy residents from the local community – were screened for blood glucose, blood pressure and body mass index. Participants also received wellness and preventive care information, along with complimentary hygiene kits.
