On September 21 and 22, 2024, 30 members of the SSSIO of Russia, along with their families and friends, immersed themselves in community service, environmental care, and strengthening bonds through group activities. On the occasion of the Orthodox holiday of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 21, a group of six volunteers went on a walk through the autumn forest, followed by a tea gathering.

In another city, two SSSIO members and their children worked togeth er to clean a forest area, finishing with a tea break and vegetarian chebureks. In a third location, volunteers spent time in their gardens, planting trees and caring for their greenhouse. They gathered the next day to offer food to 16 people and birds near a temple. In the fourth city, after completing a food service, a group of five visited Mount Saratau. They enjoyed the stunning views, cleaned up the surrounding area, and visited a small lake. The group collected water from a spring before heading home. In the fifth city, two SSSIO members filled bird feeders and collected trash in a local park, receiving thanks from passers-by for their efforts. In the sixth city, a group cleaned up a forest, removed trash and found young plants to transplant.

Across other cities in the region, volunteers worked together to clean public spaces, including yards, rivers, groves, and cemeteries, and also weeded and collected trash. Many people expressed their appreciation for the volunteers’ work. Everyone was grateful to Swami for inspiring them to care for Mother Earth and serve others.
