The Daydream Animal Sanctuary in Gainesville, GA, rescues dozens of animals from abuse, abandonment, or slaughter by providing them with a loving home, nutritious food, fresh grass, and medical treatment. The Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Northeast Atlanta began serving the animals at the sanctuary in August 2019, with 35-40 volunteers. Over the years, the project has evolved into a monthly event, with 7-12 Sai families volunteering. They care for the animals and perform farm chores, such as cleaning horse sheds and bedding, watering, mowing, bushwhacking, and weeding.

This helps reduce the facility’s cost of hiring help for one weekend each month. Sai volunteers have also planted a fruit orchard and tend to saplings every month, teaching children the importance of loving and caring for their animal friends and plants.
