SSSIO volunteers in South Africa commemorated Aradhana Mahotsavam by serving those in need in their communities. Sixteen volunteers packed and distributed more than ninety meals to hungry children in the Palmiet Road community in Durban. The sheer joy of sharing a meal under the trees was evident from the happy smiles on the children’s faces. Others saved their portion to take back home to share it with great relish with their families. Volunteers from the Phoenix Region served warm food with love to 230 needy students at the Clayhaven Primary School. In addition, the Silverglen Sai Center generously served 300 meals to impoverished families in the Welbedacht, Chatsworth community. Recipients were grateful for the meal, which they enjoyed wholeheartedly.
During April 2023, SSSIO centers across South Africa organized several blood donation drives, collecting 140 pints of blood. Sai Centers encouraged their members to participate by organizing special activities like Easter Egg hunts and face painting for the children.
