On September 26, 2020, 22 volunteers, including SSE children from the Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Toronto-York participated in a tree planting event, organized by the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department at the Humber Arboretum. The volunteers planted 65 native trees and shrubs next to a pond. Biodegradable mats were placed around each tree and then covered with mulch. The event helped Toronto achieve their goal before winter set in.
