On May 30, 2020, young adults from the Sai Study Group (SSG) Makassar, the capital of the Indonesian province of South Sulawesi, prepared 25 care packages of basic food items for people who were facing economic difficulties and were vulnerable to the risk of contracting Covid-19, making it hard for them to earn a livelihood. The volunteers procured the items needed for the care packages using the savings generated by applying Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teaching on ‘Ceiling on Desires’. These care packages were then distributed to rickshaw drivers and to elderly workers who were all very happy and touched by the gesture of love.
