During the COVID-19 pandemic, SSIO volunteers from the Ladies Wing from Sathya Sai Center of Cooksville, Mississauga constructed and delivered 222 facial masks to the Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto within a short span of two weeks, from 31 March to 16 April 2020. Given the pandemic situation, the volunteers faced difficulties such as acquiring the raw fabric. Using the available material wisely, and following step-by-step instructions on sewing the masks, this ambitious project became a reality. The guidelines given by the Canadian Health Agency were followed and the masks were made in clean and safe environments while maintaining social distancing and digital communication. This significant contribution for the Michael Garron Hospital’s #MGH1000 mask project (1000 masks to be made and delivered per month) is an offering of love to Swami as part of the 2020 Aradhana Mahotsavam.
