In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 20 SSIO volunteers from the Sathya Sai Center of Cooksville initiated a Pick-Up Food Drive from 30 March to 19 April 2020 to serve the vulnerable population in Mississauga, especially the elderly and the indigent. Nearly 590 pounds of non-perishable food items were given to a local Food Bank that serves about 900 families. Volunteers followed recommended hygiene guidelines and participated enthusiastically, making the Pick-Up Food Drive project a success.
