On 22nd July 2018, SSE students of the Sathya Sai Centre of Cooksville commemorated Canada Day by hosting a musical performance for the residents of Erin Meadows Retirement Home in Ontario. Singing both traditional devotional songs and patriotic Canadian songs, the SSE children filled the hall with vibrant energy through rhythmic hymns, lively instrumental accompaniments and poetry honouring the Canadian flag. The performance filled the audience with national pride and inspired all to acknowledge the freedom and liberties enjoyed by people in Canada today. The children concluded the programme with songs such as “Wavin’ Flag,” “Canada in My Pocket” and “The Ship,” to remind everyone of the importance of gratitude and prayer.
