Guru Poornima was celebrated in Western Australia with the noble theme of “Service to Man Is Service to God.” In keeping with this theme, SSIO volunteers including children and young adults worked together, packing toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash and floss into dental kits for the indigent and deprived in Perth. The young adults discussed service activities they have undertaken as an offering to Baba during Guru Poornima. A new service initiative called SOS (Serve Our Sai families) was unveiled, encouraging everyone to provide loving assistance to one another, particularly those who may be disadvantaged, lonely or need a helping hand. The joyous event concluded with beautiful devotional singing, leaving everyone inspired and motivated to continue to aspire to be living examples of Sathya Sai Baba’s message of love and service.
