On a cold and rainy day on 30th December 2018, a team of 28 SSIO young adult volunteers in Jakarta organised a mobile soup kitchen and served food to about 100 needy people in several areas around Jakarta. On the day of the event, the volunteers gathered in the local Sathya Sai Centre and prepared packages containing two sachets of Auton and Eucalyptus oil, which were distributed along with the food. Due to the cold weather, the volunteers served hot tea and bowls of warm vegetarian soup called Soto. At night, they visited several locations around central Jakarta, serving the homeless, who were happy to receive the warm food and tea and expressed their gratitude for the loving interactions with the volunteers. The Young Adults were not only thankful for the opportunity to serve, but also learnt practical leadership skills in organising the project.
