In early January 2019, more than 40 participants including eight children from five cities gathered in the picturesque, snow-covered Ural forest for the Regional Winter Family Camp. The theme of the camp was “The Forest is a Gift from Heaven” with a stress on the need to treasure and protect the forest, a source of natural wealth. On the first day, the children participated in creative workshops as well as songs and dances based on ecology. Human values classes were held to teach the children the importance of forests for the sustainability of Earth. The participants spent the second day discussing the causes of forest fires and methods to prevent them. That evening, a wonderful concert was followed by a festive programme to bring the camp to a conclusion.
