On 28th April 2019, about 300 people observed Easwaramma Day in Thailand. The Education Minister of Thailand was the chief guest at the function, which began with the chanting of sacred hymns and speeches. This was followed by a Thai dance by students of the Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV) programme at the Good Shepherd Sisters Home. One parent spoke about the efficacy of “Connect to Your Child” programme organised by the SSIO. The head of the village adopted by the SSIO of Thailand, expressed gratitude for the selfless service rendered by SSIO volunteers to the needy villagers. The highlight of the evening was a well-enacted play titled “Daan” (Charity) by SSE students which was greatly appreciated by the audience. Certificates and medals were also presented to the children.
